The truth is simple: most dogs at OCAS are only saved because rescue organizations step in. But rescues can’t do it alone they rely entirely on fosters to give these dogs a safe place to land until they’re adopted.
Right now, Central Florida is facing a foster crisis. That’s why we’re working urgently to Find Fosters FAST. If you’re not ready to adopt or worried about the cost, fostering is the perfect solution. Rescues cover everything, food, vet care, supplies so you can focus on what matters most: giving love and comfort to a dog who needs it.

Fostering is providing temporary care for a dog in need. We do not have a shelter building - all of our animals are cared for by foster families until they find a forever new home.
We are looking for committed foster homes that will to help us give dogs a chance to live.
Yes!!! We are always searching for foster homes - no matter how many people seem to sign on, often our intake requests exceed the number of foster homes in our rescue. We are ALWAYS in need of foster homes especially for larger breed dogs.
